Friday morning I got a call from a woman who was driving a Humvee in Iraq - she had planned on coming home for her mother's 90th birthday but was unable to. She was so sorry for such short notice but was there any way that we could get an act out tomorrow for her Mother (she thought that the Kissing Bandit would be perfect). Juggling the schedule around and working with the staff at the Senior residence where she lived we were able to fit it in. She was thrilled and pleased to learn that as a member of the Armed Forces she would receive out Armed Forces discount. As she said, "every bit helps" - my response "glad to do it and thanks for taking care of all of us".

September 9th - WOW! One year ago at this time I was udnergoing mitral valve surgery. How lucky we are to live in an age where such a thing is possible - life is good! Owning Fantasy Grams has been at times a challenge but over all it has been fun and over the years I've met some wonderful people who performed for this company and many who I still count as wonderful friends. Then there are all of the wonderful people that I have met over the years helping them with their entertainment for their event - so blessed to have been part of their lives even if for a short time. I hope that we have made a portion of their lives more enjoyable and memorable.

OK- Fantasy Grams never went anywhere but I did - I had to take time off for open heart surgery in September - wasn't blogging then. The good news is that I am back and doing well. Bonzo the Gorilla was seen saluting Sam ( a member of Kay Kay and the Weathered Undergrouond band) last night at Station 4 in St. Paul, Mn. Bonzo said that he reallly liked the band and is looking forward to buying an album of theirs. Check out their sound. Thanks to the management at Station 4 - you guys were great to work with! Greetings - wondering where I've been the past 2 weeks? I've been off doing my civic duty - was called to do jury duty at Hennepin County Court in Minneapolis. Was called for a murder trial but thankfully the prosecutors decided that they didn't want me on the jury. Civic duty or not (and, I'm glad that I live in a country where you are presumed innoicent until proven guilty) I would prefer to not be responsible for finding some one guilty or not. So, I'm awfully glad to be off duty again. How about those hot couple of days - the temp and the wind took a real tole on the gardens but catching up now with watering. Don't you just love this time of the year when things are blooming again? Fantasy Grams Entertainers are much happier driving around now than in the snow and ice of winter. Have a grand day!

We were in San Antonio last weekend visiting friends - it was Fiesta Week - I'll enclose a few photos from the Art Fair that took place in the historic King Williams area - the costumes on people (and dogs) were pretty amazing - Fantasy Gram's Singing Telegram Characters would have fit right in.

No, Fantasy Grams hasn't added floral flamingoes to our list of characters, but aren't they amazing? We took some time off last Thursday evening to head over to Macy's in Mpls. to catch their annual floral show (back to the 8th floor auditorium this year). Admission is free and if you go after 6 Pm the lines are much shorter. Flowers by Bachmans - a real taste of spring.

Check out Mishke Gets Married on You Tube - Tom gave us a call when he was about to shoot the final segment and hired our Dominatrix to play the part - way to go girl! She said that she had a lot of fun at the shoot and got a kick out of watching it. Fantasy Grams does provide actors for commercial shoots - give us a call.

We here at Fantasy Grams are way into donning costumes and role playing (after all, that is what Singing Telegrams are all about). Anyway, Willie (my Bichon boy and erstwhile performer) and his cohort in crime, Babette (his female Bichon best buddy) have decided to play Super Hero Hunter types today. So fat they have deposited their catchm 2 dead bunnies at our door. Headless things do not thrill me - anyone out there got any great ideas how to put a stop to this? By the way, they did not kill the bunnies - they are pacifists.
